Dear Parents: A Reminder about Grace, 17 Months Later

This letter was sent out to St. Paul’s Families exactly 17 months ago, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since today is the first day of school for many children in San Diego and in anticipation of our own program launch on September 12, I would like to remind parents to give themselves grace. Naturally, many details have changed over the course of 17 months, but the message remains the same.

Lean into Sunday: Living Bread

Have you ever heard the phrase, you are what you eat? This is important when we think about Jesus in this sense. If we eat of the bread of life, of Jesus; if that helps form, create, and grow our very human body, we will inherently be changed by that. We will learn and digest his actions and who he is. This is especially true on Sundays when we take communion and take time to rest and restore our souls for the next week in the world.
