SGIA: Education Through Art and Prayer

From the Sacred Ground in Action Ministry:
In Rev. Carol Worthing’s current Book Study. The Church Cracked Open by Stephanie Spellers, participants have been continuously reminded the we must name the wounds in order to heal; and “before you reconcile you must reckon.”  This wonderful series below can move us along the path of naming the wounds so that we can heal.

Education Through Art:
San Diego REP’s Black Voices Reading Series will feature four new plays representing a diverse range of Black voices. Through this series, the San Diego Repertory Theatre offers space for Black stories and theatre artists that spotlight the broad range of today’s Black experience, and creates opportunity for discussion around the various topics explored in each play.  Audiences are invited to experience these exciting new works for free through virtual and in-person events.  For more information, go to https://sdrep.org/blackvoices The remainder of the plays – offered at the theatre and as well as virtually – will be held on April 4, 11, and 18.

Prayer:
Gracious God, through the artistic imaginations of creative prophets you bring us clearer vision.Help us to use these gifts to open our hearts to bring about your beloved community.Amen.
