San Diego Master Chorale Messiah Sing
Sunday December 5, 5 pm, In-Person in the Cathedral
Our traditional Messiah “Sing-Along” returns to the Cathedral this year, with the San Diego Master Chorale conducted by John Russell and accompanied by Martin Green on the cathedral organ. Space is limited.

Virgin of Guadalupe Celebration
Sunday December 12, 1 pm, In-Person in the Cathedral
The Spanish-speaking members of the Cathedral invite you to join them for a special event honoring La Virgen de Guadalupe. Starting with a procession around the neighborhood, the celebration continues with the Eucharist service and concludes with a feast of tamales.

A Service of Lessons and Carols for Christmas
Sunday December 19, 5 pm, In-Person and live-streamed
Members of the Cathedral Schola offer a heart-warming and beautiful service of Scripture readings and carols, to usher in the Christmas season in the tradition of the Church of England. The service will include favorite carols from our traditional Lessons and Carols service, interspersed with sumptuous carol arrangements for harp. Watch on our websiteYouTube and Facebook.

“Room in the Inn”: A Las Posadas Christmas Eve Celebration
Friday, December 24, 5 pm, In-Person in the Cathedral
This year, we will welcome the birth of Jesus with a bilingual Las Posadas celebration for all ages, a tradition from Latin America which symbolizes the Biblical journey of Mary and Joseph as they searched for shelter in Bethlehem before the birth of Jesus. Children will bear a processional float and travel from door to door in the Cathedral, asking that we welcome the stranger in our midst and make room for the Savior.

Solemn Midnight Mass
Friday, December 24 at 10 pm, In-Person and live-streamed
Join us for one of the highlights of the Cathedral year, when we celebrate the birth of Christ. The celebration, presided over by our Bishop, features members of the Cathedral Choir, instrumentalists, pageantry, carols, and a sermon from the Cathedral’s Dean. Christmas Day Service
Saturday, December 25 at 10:30 am, In-Person and live-streamed
We celebrate Christmas morning with a service of Eucharist featuring organ and carols.

New Year’s Eve Service
Friday, December 31, 7 pm, In-Person in the Cathedral
Join the Cathedral community in a tranquil and meditative service to say goodbye to 2021.

New Year’s Day Service
Saturday, January 1, 10:30 am, In-Person in the Cathedral
Welcome the New Year with a Eucharist service observing the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus.
