Simpler Living Creation Care Ministry & Sacred Ground in Action Initiative

Taking place each week from February 26 until March 26 from 6:30 – 8 pm, one of the virtual Lenten book study selections this year is Trace: Memory, History, Race, and the American Landscape by geologist and writer Lauret Savoy.
From a Ploughshares review: “[Savoy] traces her Native, African, and European-American roots across the nation, often impeded by history’s glossy revision or outright silence about the peoples of color who built America … [and offers] a difficult but beautiful and more whole understanding of America’s storied landscape.”
Join with participants in an exploration of the intersection of race and place in time and space. Click here to register.
Books will be available for purchase on Sunday, February 15 during Coffee Hour from Kathryn Bunch, or by contacting her at k.bbooks42@gmail.com.
