A RESOLUTION OF THE CHAPTER OF THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF SAINT PAUL ACCEPTING THE REPORT OF THE VISION FOR MISSION COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Chapter of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul approved a strategic planning effort (Vision for Mission) on September 2, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the Chapter chartered a Vision for Mission committee to develop strategic plan for the Cathedral; and,
WHEREAS, the Chapter approved the Values, Vision, and Mission statements recommended by the committee in Chapter Resolution 2015-01 on January 6, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, the Vision for Mission committee submitted its final report and recommendations to the Chapter for consideration on October 31, 2015;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CHAPTER OF THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF SAINT PAUL HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Chapter formally accepts the report as submitted to be the Cathedral’s strategic plan for the period 2016-2020; and,
Section 2. The Chapter expresses immense gratitude to the members of the Vision for Mission committee for their dedication and hard work; and,
Section 3. The Chapter charges the Dean to designate a senior staff member as the Staff Coordinator for each of the six strategic goals, objectives and actions with the responsibilities to coordinate implementation, oversight and monitoring thereof; and,
Section 4. Recognizing that the accomplishment of the strategic goals is a shared responsibility amongst the Cathedral staff, Chapter and the congregation at large, the Chapter charges the Dean’s Warden to designate Chapter Liaisons from amongst the parish elected Chapter members to assist the Staff Coordinators in implementation, oversight, and monitoring of the strategic goals; and
Section 5. The Chapter charges the Dean and Dean’s Warden to develop a standardized method for Staff Coordinators and Chapter Liaisons to monitor and track progress toward the strategic goals, objectives and actions; and,
Section 6. Staff Coordinators and Chapter Liaisons shall submit reports as required, but not less than quarterly, detailing the progress of their strategic goals, objectives and actions.
