Thoughts on Pride week and war

Most religions seems to get all upset with human sexuality but seems to readily accept violence.

What Leonard Matlovich said was a stark and profound confrontation of our totally mixed up values.

THERE IS SOMETHING PROFOUNDLY WRONG WITH A SOCIETY
THAT REWARDS ME FOR KILLING A MAN
AND REJECTS ME FOR LOVING ONE.

Anita Wucinic-Turner

From Wikipedia: Technical Sergeant Leonard P. Matlovich (July 6, 1943 – June 22, 1988) was a Vietnam War veteran, race relations instructor, and recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Matlovich was the first gay service member to purposely out himself to the military to fight their ban on gays.  THese words are on his tombstone too.  Image from here.
