Protecting Sensitive Locations

Sacred Ground In Action (SGIA)

What were once considered sensitive locations – schools, places of worship, courthouses and polling places, hospitals and clinics, and sites for emergency relief – buildings that protect fairness and dignity for individuals and families are now fair game for disruption, chaos, and violence by federal agents.

The Protecting Sensitive Locations Act, House Resolution 1061/Senate Resolution 455, would prohibit federal agents from conducting immigration enforcement activities at these locations. The Episcopal Church and St Paul’s Cathedral supports this legislation that aligns with our deep faith commitment, following our baptismal vows and advocating for just and humane immigration policies.

Stop by the SGIA Advocacy table after the services on December 7 and 14 to complete a postcard. We’ll add the stamp and provide the address of your representative! You are welcome to take postcards to family and friends, ensuring that our decision makers will hear from even more concerned people. For more information, contact Konnie Dadmun (CLICK HERE).
