Recently members of Bishops United Against Gun Violence were in Washington, DC, for a day of action meeting with members of Congress to urge them to pass legislation to help end gun violence. Join them by writing your members of Congress on key gun violence reduction legislation.
This urgent call is for legislation that will:
- Add reasonable restrictions on firearm ownership
- Require universal background checks
- Eliminate loopholes
- Tighten laws against gun trafficking
- Require gun safety training
- Fund gun violence prevention programs
- Address gun violence as a public health crisis
