At a recent Vigil in Balboa Park, one of the faith leaders who was to speak had to miss the event. He was busy in his hometown of Los Angeles, serving his devastated community by running supplies to those in need.As the fires continue to burn – and we realize that we are not out of the woods, so to speak – as individuals we can make a commitment to do our part to reduce the intensity of future extreme weather events. These events will occur, there’s no doubt. But we can act in community to decrease fossil fuel consumption and increase climate change solutions through our voice and solidarity with the community of faith.
