Thoughts to Sustain us in the Days Ahead

St Paul’s Simpler Living Creation Care Ministry:

No matter what happens [in this election], we know that the work of climate justice and a sustainable healthy future for all must continue.” Amy Brooks Paradise, GreenFaith

With the election of a new president, nothing has really changed in our need to take action on the crisis impacting God’s good creation. We will continue to take seriously our individual responsibilities: buy less stuff, save more energy, review our lifestyles, and pray pray pray.  But these current times call for a serious amplification of our commitment: to be more vocal, act in community, and model good will and lovingkindness so that others will act for life on Earth.

In addition to GreenFaith, we have many partners in this long hard journey:

“Interfaith Power & Light is here and ready to lead for what lies ahead.  Our advocacy, our commitment to protecting and securing the future of this planet does not depend on any administration or elected leader. We are a national network of people of faith and conscience who believe in the power of community, of prayer, and of action.

Rev. Susan Hendershot, IPL President

And when we are called to literally stand for justice, please consider joining in community: your support is needed now more than ever!

Gracious, life-giving God, what we do for your creation we do for all your kin-dom. Amen
