Recently, we celebrated the diverse ministries that form the heart of St. Paul’s, making it a beacon of faith and a vibrant place of worship. Among these, the Audio Visual (A/V) team plays an indispensable role. Our dedicated but small team strives to capture every word spoken, every song sung, and every message conveyed. We want our message to reach not just those within our walls, but countless others beyond them.
Our responsibilities are varied, spanning from managing live sound and equipment setup to coordinating events. But one of our most impactful services is our live streaming. In today’s digital age, our streams have transcended borders, touching lives internationally. It’s not just about broadcasting our services; it’s about accessibility and evangelism.
While I find great reward in this ministry, the tasks can be daunting. Often, our team finds itself stretched, striving to ensure that no detail is missed and every broadcast is seamless. As our reach expands, so does the need for dedicated hands and hearts.
We are earnestly seeking additional members who are willing to be a part of this vital ministry. We especially need assistance in the production room, with live sound, and during special events. By joining us, you’ll not only be supporting our local community but also making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

We (and others) continue to be concerned with the difficulty hearing sermons, lectors and others from the pulpit. Ir’s really disconcerting not to be able to understand important parts of our services, and we can’t help but wonder how motivated a first-time visitor to St. Paul’s would be to return if they can’t understand half the service. We don’t know if this is in the purview of the A/V Ministry, but it appears that this problem would be at least partially solved if all users of the pulpit were given at least minimal coaching on use of the mike there before their presentation. Perhaps even a short printed handout would do the trick if person to person coaching is not possible. At one recent presentation, the presenter stood as far as possible AWAY from the mike, which undoubtedly affected the nearly inaudible results.
