From our Simpler Living Creation Care ministry:
Whether we are walking along the ocean or a garden path, what better way to be present to God’s beloved creation than to close our eyes and listen. This year’s Season of Creation, 9/1 – 10/2, begins with the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and ends with the Blessing of the Animals. We are invited to listen, then respond together as people of faith.
Listen to the Voice of Creation, the global Season of Creation, begins at the Cathedral on Thursday, 9/8 at 6pm with a Contemplative Service in the Courtyard. For an EDSD Calendar of Events, go to https://edsd.org/event/season-of-creation-2022/
Here are two more events just submitted for the calendar:
- 2040 Film and Discussion, 9/13 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Register https://edsd.org/event/2040-film-and-discussion/
- EDSD Book Study/SPC Formation offering: See No Stranger from 9/28 – 10/19 from 6:30 – 7:45 pm. Register https://edsd.org/event/book-club-see-no-stranger/
The Psalmist declares, “The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims God’s handiwork. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares
knowledge their voice is not heard; yet their voice goes out through all the Earth, and their words to the end of the world.” (19: 1-4) Creation never ceases to proclaim, but do we listen? www.seasonofcreation.org
