Light up the Cathedral For Pride
Wednesday, July 17, 7 pm, In Person or watch on our YouTube channel.
Join us for Light Up the Cathedral, an inspiring interfaith service marking the start of Pride Week in San Diego. This special evening brings together diverse faith communities to celebrate unity, love, and acceptance, illuminating the cathedral with vibrant colors and powerful messages of inclusivity. Be part of this uplifting event as we honor the spirit of Pride and stand together in solidarity, embracing the beauty of love.
A space will be available for our youth to stay during the service.

Pride Parade
Saturday, July 20, 10 am, In Person
Don’t miss your chance to walk in the parade as part of St. Paul’s contingent! If you wish to participate in the parade but are unable to walk distances our trolley will be available, but space is limited. Please email Susan Jester (jesters@stpaulcathedral.org) if you wish to participate in the parade and make note if you need special accommodations on our trolley.

St. Paul’s Cathedral continues to celebrate Pride at our morning services and forum. Join us for joyful worship, affirming services and guest preacher Rev. Brynn Craffey.

About our guest preacher, Brynn Craffey:
Brynn studied and was ordained a priest in the Anglican Church of Canada in 2022 and later returned to San Diego. As an openly queer-identified trans priest, he views the cross at the center of our faith as a reminder that we must die repeatedly to old ways to be born anew in Christ. This, along with his firsthand knowledge of what it’s like to be reviled and excluded, even as one longs for God and the fellowship, meaning, and sacraments of the church, inform his theology, practice, and ministry.
Forum: From Outcast to Priest
Join us for our morning forum to hear the story of how the Spirit, moving in mysterious ways, slowly but surely, transforms a disillusioned, LGBTQ+-identified, unchurched skeptic into priest. Followed by an open question period on Sunday’s sermon or the topic of gender. Forum led by our guest preacher Rev. Brynn Craffey at 9 am in the Queen’s Courtyard.
