St. Paul's Choristers and The San Diego Master Chorale collaborate on a program of music for brass ensemble, organ, and voices, including composers Vaughan Willams, Brahms, and composite Mass Movements by Langlais, Barber, Martin, and Ramirez. Conductors Martin Green and Gary McKercher lead the ensembles. Tickets: $10-$15 suggested donation at the door.
Nurturing the Prophetic Imagination Wed, Mar 24, 7pm, Crill Auditorium
Point Loma Nazarene University hosts its 15th annual writer's symposium bringing together poets, environmentalists, theologians, and political scientists who explore global social problems. Symposia include A Conversation with Kathleen Norris, poet, essayist, and author-whose work is at once intimate and historical, brimming with exasperation and reverence, sometimes funny and often provocative-along with A Conversation with Michael Eric Dyson (Th, Mar 25, 7pm), A Conversation with Bill McKibbon, environmentalist (Fri, Mar 26, 7pm), and a panel with Bill McKibben and Emmanuel Katongole on Sat, Mar 27, offering a redeeming hope on how to live in a world marked by genocide and other destruction. This stageplay is coming to the Cathedral as a dinner theatre presentation. Dinner is by Souplantation at 6 pm each night in the Great Hall, followed by the drama in the Cathedral Chancel. Directed by Bill Eadie with the Cathedral Ensemble, its suggested donation is $25 (includes dinner); table for ten is $200, and students (age 13-17) are $15. Purchase tickets online here.

You and your families are invited to join St. Paul's middle school youth on a camping trip to William Heise County Park in Julian. We leave the church at 5:00 PM; on Saturday we'll help in a service project lead by a ranger, and we return by 2:00 on Sunday. The cost is $20 per person, and we have scholarships available.
